About Mt Vernon Elite

In 2017, Marcus Marvin recognized that the youth baseball players from and around the Mt. Vernon Optimist Club in the McCordsville, IN area needed a dedicated softball organization to emphasize baseball and softball fundamentals, sportsmanship, and ongoing growth and improvement. Thus, Mt Vernon Elite was born. What started with Recreational All-Star teams for all ages has evolved into full-time travel teams, recreational all-star tournaments, and everything in between. As a former baseball player with nearly 30 years of experience in baseball and softball, Marcus Marvin has cultivated a staff and young athletes focused on the fundamentals of baseball, playing the right way, being gracious winners and losers, and becoming great teammates and human beings.

Mt Vernon Elite offers multiple softball, tee ball, and youth baseball fields for practice, games, and tournament play.

Our Mt Vernon Elite 10U Baseball Team transitioned from Recreational All-Star tournaments to USSSA Travel Tournaments within the same season, ultimately clinching their first victory at the Calvin Strong Event in Ceraland, showcasing the talent of our youth baseball players.
